In Paris, I was proud to represent Canada at the 2026 OECD Forum on Gender Equality, joining leaders and experts from around the world to discuss how we can ensure that a rapidly changing digital economy creates opportunities for everyone.

Throughout the Forum, we discussed how emerging technologies are changing the way people work, build businesses, and participate in society. I was pleased to share Canada’s perspective on supporting women entrepreneurs in the digital economy and ensuring women have the networks, financing, skills, and opportunities they need to grow and succeed.

We also focused on the challenges that come with digital transformation, including technology-facilitated gender-based violence and the need to create safer and more inclusive online spaces. As technology continues to shape our daily lives, advancing gender equality means making sure that progress does not leave anyone behind.

The visit was also an important opportunity to meet with international partners and exchange ideas on how we can work together to advance gender equality. The conversations we have on the global stage matter because they help shape the work we do here at home—creating more opportunities, greater safety, and a more inclusive future for Canadians.
