It was great to visit QuickMill in Peterborough and see firsthand how a homegrown Canadian company is building advanced CNC machining centres used in industries such as aerospace, agriculture, defence, and energy.

Companies like QuickMill show the strength of Canadian innovation and manufacturing. By developing specialized technology here at home and serving customers around the world, businesses like this are helping Canada compete globally, strengthen domestic supply chains, and create good jobs.

As Secretary of State for Small Business and Tourism, I am always encouraged to see Canadian businesses turning expertise and innovation into long-term growth. Supporting companies that design, build, and export high-value products is an important part of building a stronger and more resilient economy.
