Helping Canadian Small Businesses Compete for Federal Contracts
In Kitchener, I was pleased to highlight our new Buy Canadian Small Business Procurement Program, which is making it easier for Canadian small businesses to compete for federal government contracts.
Small businesses are at the heart of our economy, but too often they face unnecessary barriers when trying to access government procurement opportunities. By reducing red tape, simplifying the process, and creating more pathways for small businesses to compete, we are helping more Canadian companies grow and succeed.
As Secretary of State for Small Business and Tourism, I know how important it is to make sure entrepreneurs have a fair shot at government opportunities. By putting more federal purchasing power behind Canadian businesses, we can support good jobs, strengthen domestic supply chains, and keep more economic activity here at home.
Thank you to MPs Tim Louis and Bardish Chagger, Brian Fatt, and the team at Sphere Manufacturing Group for welcoming me to Kitchener and for sharing their perspectives on what small businesses need to compete, grow, and thrive.
