In London, I joined MP Arielle Kayabaga and frontline organizations for an important conversation about preventing gender-based violence and strengthening support for survivors.

The organizations working directly with survivors understand the realities people face when seeking safety, support, and services. Hearing from them helps ensure that our work through the National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence continues to respond to the needs of communities across Canada.

As Minister for Women and Gender Equality, I am grateful for the advocates, service providers, and community organizations whose experience and dedication continue to guide this work. Ending gender-based violence requires strong partnerships, sustained support, and a commitment to listening to those closest to the issue.

Thank you to MP Arielle Kayabaga and all the frontline organizations who joined us in London and shared their perspectives. Your work is helping build safer, more supportive communities for survivors and their families.
