Renewing Support for Women Entrepreneurs
In Lethbridge, I was proud to announce a $173.7 million investment over five years to renew the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy and continue supporting women entrepreneurs across Canada.
Since its launch, the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy has helped more than 400,000 women start and grow their businesses by improving access to financing, mentorship, networks, training, and export opportunities. This renewed investment will help more women business owners access the tools and support they need to succeed, create jobs, and strengthen communities.
As part of this funding, our government is also investing $7 million to renew the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub, a one-stop source for research, data, best practices, and resources that support women entrepreneurs and the organizations that work with them.
Thank you to Sarah Amies, Michelle Toner, Alberta Women Entrepreneurs, Downtown Lethbridge BRZ, and all the women business owners and community partners who joined us for this important conversation. Supporting women entrepreneurs means building a stronger, more inclusive economy for everyone.
