Strong communities are built through kindness, generosity, and the willingness to support one another. I was delighted to join families, educators, and community members at Lullaboo Nursery and Childcare Centre’s annual SickKids fundraising event on May 1, 2026, where everyone came together for an afternoon dedicated to making a difference for children and families. 

As parents arrived to pick up their children, the centre was filled with excitement and smiles as families enjoyed face painting, games, raffles, delicious snacks, and interactive classroom activities. The event created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encouraged neighbours to connect while supporting an important cause that impacts so many Canadians. 

It was a pleasure to spend time with the dedicated educators and staff at Lullaboo, whose commitments extend beyond the classroom and into the heart of the community. Their efforts to organise an event that brings families together while raising funds for SickKids reflect the compassion and generosity that make Mississauga-Streetsville such a special place to call home.
