Supporting Women Entrepreneurs and Canada-Mexico Partnerships
It was a pleasure to participate in Expo México Mujer 2026 and meet with an inspiring group of Mexican women entrepreneur, business leaders, and community partners who are helping strengthen economic and cultural ties between Canada and México.
I received the opportunity to learn about the innovative businesses and entrepreneurial journeys of women across a wide range of industries, including tourism, trade, fashion, gastronomy, and culture. Conversations like these highlight the important role women entrepreneurs play in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and building stronger, more connected communities.
As Minister of Women and Gender Equality and Secretary of State for Small Business and Tourism, I was pleased to recognize the importance of creating opportunities for women-owned businesses to connect, collaborate, and expand into new markets. Supporting women entrepreneurs and strengthening international partnerships helps foster innovation and contributes to a more inclusive and resilient economy.
I would like to thank the Embassy of México, the organizers of Expo México Mujer 2026, and all the entrepreneurs and community leaders who shared their experiences and ideas. It was an honour to celebrate the contributions of women in business and the string relationship between Canada and México.
