In London, I had the opportunity to join MP Peter Fragiskatos, Deputy Mayor Shawn Lewis, TechAlliance CEO Christina Fox, and local women founders and entrepreneurs for a conversation about the opportunities and challenges shaping Canada’s innovation economy. 

Women entrepreneurs are bringing new ideas to market, creating good jobs, and building businesses that strengthen communities across the country. Organizations like TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario play an important role in that journey by connecting entrepreneurs with coaching, mentorship, access to capital, and the networks they need to grow. 

As a former entrepreneur myself, I know how valuable the right support and connections can be when turning an idea into a successful business. As Secretary of State for Small Business and Tourism, I am committed to ensuring more women entrepreneurs have the opportunities and resources they need to start, scale, and succeed.
