I recently had the opportunity to visit Armagh House and learn more about the important work they do to support women and children in Peel Region who are rebuilding their lives after experiencing violence and abuse. 

During the visit, I toured the facility, met with staff and community leaders, and discussed the challenges many women continue to face when seeking safety, stability, and long-term support. Organizations like Armagh House play a critical role in helping women access safe housing, counselling, and the resources needed to move forward with dignity and independence. 

As the Minister of Women and Gender Equality, these conversations are deeply important. Supporting survivors of gender-based violence requires strong community partnership, accessible services, and continued efforts to ensure that women and families feel safe, supported, and empowered. 

I would like to thank the team at Armagh House for the warm welcome and for the compassion, care, and dedication they bring to this work every day. Their impact continues to make a meaningful difference in the lies of so many individuals and families across our community.
