Your Member of Parliament for Mississauga—Streetsville
Hon. Rechie Valdez
As Your Member of Parliament
Mississauga—Streetsville is where I grew up and built my roots.
This is the neighbourhood where I’ve learned that when people are given the opportunity to succeed, whole communities rise together. From the heritage buildings within our “Village of Streetsville” to our parks, shops, and community events, I am proud to represent this riding in Parliament.
Throughout my time as Member of Parliament, I have been guided by a simple belief: leadership is about service, unity is strength, and trust is only built through action.
As your MP, my role is to be your voice in Parliament and your advocate at home—meeting and speaking with constituents, attending community events, listening to local concerns, and raising those priorities in the House of Commons.
It also means working with all levels of government to implement federal policies and legislation that deliver real results for Mississauga–Streetsville. Our constituency team is ready to help you access federal programs and services, and support casework with government agencies like Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Service Canada and Canada Revenue Agency.
My priorities reflect what I hear in the community: supporting small businesses, improving access to services, and cutting red tape to make government work better for people. I remain committed to delivering more affordable housing, stronger infrastructure, and strengthening public safety to help build a safer and more connected community.
Service is at the heart of my role as your MP — listening, showing up, and delivering for the people of Mississauga–Streetsville.
Building a Strong Canada
Canada is strongest when we build together - from Mississauga–Streetsville to communities across the country.
As a Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament, my focus is on advancing Canada Strong priorities: growing a resilient economy, safeguarding our sovereignty, and delivering the infrastructure Canadians rely on. This includes strengthening supply chains, securing our borders, and increasing our capacity to produce and build here at home.
It also means moving forward with nation-building initiatives that expand housing supply, improve transit and trade corridors, modernize infrastructure, and support Canadian innovation and clean growth. By reducing internal trade barriers and investing in long-term productivity, we are creating the conditions for sustainable economic growth and greater opportunity for Canadians.
In Mississauga—Streetsville, national priorities have direct local impact - from supporting small businesses to improving housing affordability and economic stability.
That is why I remain focused on reducing red tape, improving service delivery, and ensuring federal programs are accessible and effective.
Building Canada Strong means delivering clear, measurable results: more efficient approvals, better coordination across governments, and targeted investments that create jobs and strengthen communities.
I remain committed to advancing practical solutions that ensure Mississauga—Streetsville benefits from a more resilient, connected, and competitive Canada.
